The all-new Toyota C-HR is set to launch with four electrified powertrains, showcasing Toyota’s commitment to a multi-technology approach toward carbon neutrality.
This range includes 1.8-litre and 2.0-litre hybrid electric (HEV) models, as well as a 2.0-litre plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) version. Additionally, the 2.0-litre HEV will be offered with the option of intelligent all-wheel drive (AWD-i).
In Europe, the 2025 Toyota C-HR starts at €33,939 and reaches €43,502, depending on the selected trim and features:
– 1.8 Hybrid, e-CVT Active – €33,939
– 1.8 Hybrid, e-CVT Lounge – €35,958
– 2.0 Hybrid, e-CVT Active – €35,743

Toyota has integrated its latest, fifth-generation hybrid technology into these models, delivering an optimal balance of power and low emissions to cater to C-segment customers. The new hybrid system features a redesigned transaxle, power control unit (PCU), and an improved high-voltage battery to reduce size and weight.
The 1.8-litre Hybrid, shared with the Toyota Corolla family, emphasizes eco-efficiency while offering increased power over its predecessor. Meanwhile, the 2.0-litre Hybrid enhances the driving experience with a higher output, ensuring a balance between performance and fuel efficiency.
The 2.0-litre Plug-in Hybrid system offers best-in-class performance with a dual-purpose design: providing all-electric EV driving for daily commutes and efficient hybrid-electric performance for longer journeys. Equipped with Regeneration Boost, it allows for a smooth, one-pedal-like driving experience with three selectable levels to optimize city driving.
Further enhancing efficiency, the system integrates geofencing technology, which enables the Toyota C-HR PHEV to automatically switch to EV mode when entering a low-emission zone (LEZ), making intelligent use of battery power when using navigation.
For added traction and stability, the AWD-i option, available with the 2.0-litre HEV, utilizes a high-torque electric motor-generator on the rear axle, improving performance on slippery surfaces and during acceleration or cornering.
Toyota has meticulously fine-tuned every aspect of the C-HR’s handling, suspension, and braking systems to enhance driving dynamics. The throttle response is more intuitive, ensuring a seamless connection between acceleration and vehicle performance. A team of Toyota master drivers tested the new model on various European road conditions to fine-tune its agility, responsiveness, and ride comfort.
Toyota has developed an advanced, intuitive, and personalized in-car ecosystem, designed for seamless interaction through a smartphone app, touchscreen, or voice commands. As the driver approaches the vehicle, an automatic welcome sequence activates, including exterior lighting and illumination of the Toyota C-HR light signature on the back door.
Depending on the trim, the Toyota C-HR features a 12.3-inch fully digital combimeter, offering sharp graphics and customizable display layouts. The driver can prioritize different information, such as active ADAS functions while driving on motorways.
Additionally, the ambient lighting system offers up to 64 color options, with a special 24-shade program that adjusts throughout the day to create a dynamic atmosphere. Safety is also enhanced, as the lighting changes to red when the Safe Exit Assist system detects potential hazards when opening a door.
The all-new Toyota C-HR is equipped with the Toyota Smart Connect multimedia package, offering an 8-inch or 12.3-inch touchscreen, a built-in voice assistant, and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity. The system provides real-time EV range information and local charging locations.
