2025 Ford Mustang Dark Horse: Interior | Car Conversations

Today we are looking at the interior of the new Ford Mustang. The interior of the Mustang Dark Horse is not very impressive in terms of luxury and amenities considering the high price. There is a lot of plastic on the door panel with some suede and little storage. The seats are recaro bucket seats made of suede and vinyl, and they will have 4 ways of manual adjustment. The steering wheel has some faux carbon fiber with leather wrapping and rubberized material. There are also a lot of buttons and plasticky paddle shifters. For the Dark Horse, there is some blue stitching. The gauge cluster is very high resolution and has a lot of customization. Materials in the Mustang Dark Horse are pretty bad considering the near $70,000 price tag. The upper dash is finished in plastic and there is a little soft touch material underneath the vent and faux carbon fiber for the passenger. The rest of the cabin is basically made of plastic. Storage isn’t terrible with a wireless phone charging pad, cup holders, and a decent sized console. There are also some USB ports and a DC outlet. The climate controls are integrated into the screen with a constant menu at the bottom, but they do take a little more effort to use than physical controls. The main infotainment system is running Ford’s latest software and is relatively easy to navigate. The display itself is pretty high resolution and intuitive. There is wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is a high resolution backup camera with parking sensors. There is no 360 view available. Up top, there is no sunroof. With a sports car, you shouldn’t expect a lot from the backseats, but the Mustang’s aren’t terrible. Getting in isn’t the easiest, but there is an acceptable amount of legroom. However, headroom is horrendous. There are no vents, USB ports, or armrests. The Mustang is a four seater and there is a large hump at the bottom. The Mustang has a relatively large cargo area. There is 13.5 cubic feet of space, and you can actually fold down the second row unlike most coupes. If you buy the convertible model, that will reduce the space to about 11.6 cubic feet. Thanks for watching!
