Their story begins in the 1930s when Joe Fisher, Sr. opened his first automobile dealership in the Midwest. He then relocated to Portland, Oregan and over the next few decades, a variety of imports were added to the Fisher family’s list of stores, opening Volvo in 1957.
With slogans as a defining part of their family’s dealerships history – from Grandfather Joe’s “See Joe & Save Dough” to their Volvo store’s “You’ll love the way we treat you” and then “Under the Big Blue Volvo sign” – they now have third & fourth generations operating their Volvo store.
Being family-owned has created a special culture and resulted in generations of loyal customers and long-term employees.
