After a long hiatus, it’s time to crack open the time capsule, dust off this wild build, and take it to a whole new level.
The first order of business? Jared is swapping in a completely unexpected powerplant—a VW diesel engine from a 2001 Jetta! That’s right, we’re talking turbocharged torque in a Honda limousine. But that’s just the beginning. Jared’s pulled out all the stops, investing a whopping $10,000 into performance upgrades sourced from Darkside Developments, transforming this engine into a diesel powerhouse. Expect to see all the high-end goodies: a performance turbo, upgraded injectors, custom manifolds, and more.
As the engine build gets underway, Jared talks through the challenges of adapting a German diesel engine to a 1980s Honda and shows off some of the amazing custom fabrication needed to make it all work.
