UNder the hood is a special SVT Windsor 351ci or 5.8 liter V8 with GT40 heads, high lift camshaft, tuned intake manifold, and more producing 240 horsepower and 340 lb ft of torque, paired with a recalibrated E40D 4-speed automatic transmission and limited slip differential sending power to the rear wheels.
Ford says the Lightning could achieve 0-60 in 7.6 seconds.
