For five years, PROJECT HASHTAG transformed the museum into a space for experimentation, collaboration, and process-led creation.
Initiated in 2019 in partnership with MMCA, PROJECT HASHTAG set out to foster interdisciplinary collaboration among next-generation creators from diverse fields. Each year, two creator teams were selected to showcase projects that challenged conventional museum practices—embracing both process and creative results, and encouraging open dialogue over fixed definitions.
This film looks back on five years of creative exploration: from interactive games and digital simulations to soundscapes, workshops, and speculative ecosystems. Hear from the PROJECT HASHTAG creator teams as they reflect on what PROJECT HASHTAG meant to them—and how it helped shape their artistic journeys.
