Charging With Electrify America | BMW How-To

When charging your BMW with Electrify America, there are up to three convenient ways to initiate a charging session, and a few ways to stop a charging session as well.

All you need is a BMW ID connected to your vehicle and an active Electrify America complimentary charging plan. See our other how to video to learn how to set this up.

With BMW’s Plug & Charge, you no longer have to use an app or interact with the charging station. Once you’ve activated the feature in iDrive, the next time you park at the Electrify America charging station, a confirmation will be displayed in iDrive, indicating Plug & Charge is available. Simply plug in your BMW, and walk away. Your BMW will automatically communicate with the charger and begin the charging session.

With BMW’s Click & Charge feature through the My BMW app, you no longer have to interact with the charging station screen. Simply choose the charger you parked in front of, initiate the session through the app, and plug in.

BMW’S NFC Charging Card simplifies charging your vehicle at a public charging station. Initiating a charging session is just a tap away. And setting it up in your digital wallet is easy.
